This project is located in a former industrial site in Catherine Hill Bay. The site aims to be revitalized by constructing a vibrant community, including a brewery, glamping accommodations, and public spaces, to attract more visitors and create a lively atmosphere. The project also respects and incorporates indigenous perspectives, bridging the gap between the past and the future. The site is primarily divided into three main sections: the hospitality venue, cafe, and ice creamery. Additionally, a portion of the site near the beach is dedicated to showcasing historical artifacts and recreating the original railway tracks using landscape design. The accommodation area includes a reception area, picnic spaces, and glamping. The hospitality venue faces the ocean, offering enhanced scenic experiences for both the community and visitors while providing dining services. The building also incorporates functions such as a brewery, bar, meeting space, and recreational activities, capable of accommodating up to 100 people simultaneously. In the glamping, it provides visitors with an opportunity to connect closely with nature. Visitors can enjoy the natural surroundings and have direct sea view from their verandas. In the past, this area was home to a railway that transported coal to the jetty, but now, there are no visible traces of it. For many visitors, this historical context might fade away if not highlighted. Therefore, by integrating landscape design and heritage elements, the goal is to revive this history. Using the railway and train-themed signage, the site's past can be narrated to visitors.
