Connection of the past, present and future is vital for the evolution of society in the Newcastle prescint. Our city is rapidly moving, and a place of education, culture and heritage values is needed to enrich the community??????s needs. The University of Newcastle has been approached by the Newcastle Museum, archives, libraries and learning to create a new museum/ library with Steam as a core focal point. The plan is to connect two arches and have the right side concaving to the northern side of the site and the left arch concaving to the southern side of the site, thus allowing one side to bring in light and the other to withhold light similar to a ying and yang effect. The arches will have two internal layers: servant and served. The servant layers will hold all the operations discovered earlier in the brief analysis, and the served will hold the areas of interest that will be exhibited and places of leisure established through the demographic analysis.
