This project is a viewpoint between affordability and sustainability in urban housing. Our aim was to provide comfortable and environmentally friendly accommodation for people with low to medium incomes. Based on the Passive house design principles, we have offered a blueprint for energyefficient housing which prioritizes occupant’s well-being and minimizes environment negative impact. A bold step towards sustainability has been taken by offering a mix between concrete and Cross Laminated Timber structure to make sure about the least carbon footprint. Conducted via Sefaira, a comprehensive Life Cycle Analysis helped us to fine-tune the design through measurement of possible energy losses. To enhance levels of sustainability, we have integrated green spaces and photovoltaic panels wherever possible.
