Smelters in the 1990s injected great economic vitality into Australia, and also brought long-term environmental pollution. In the end, they were abandoned because their production activities seriously exceeded the tolerable range of the environment, which led to irreversible ecological and health hazards. After decades of governance, these historical traces may be buried under new communities and gradually disappear, while new development and pollution will be repeated in other places.In order to promote people's reflection on the uncontrolled production behavior at the expense of environmental pollution, the project imagines a future of serious environmental pollution caused by the accidental leakage of buried pollutants. As a solution, the city tower tries to turn pollutants into the "starter" of self-circulating vertical city operation under the condition of extremely scarce resources by integrating the functions of pollution purification laboratories and traditional cities, and reconstructs the relationship between human beings, cities and ecology in thought and action.When everything returns to normal, the city tower will develop into an educational monument and serve as a template for the future development of environmentally friendly cities.
