Time Turntable

2023

The site holds significant historical and cultural importance. To safeguard and pass on this cultural legacy while enhancing the community's cultural connection, we employed the "time carousel" concept for planning and designing the museum, library, and the surrounding landscape. Historical eras were arranged like the hands of a clock, guiding visitors through various historical periods as they moved through the exhibitions. This concept was reflected in the design's flow organization. The two "turntables" represented prehistoric and recent history, signifying a transition from an outdoor-focused to an indoor-focused architectural space. The library seamlessly integrated with the museum, ensuring that only one historical period was presented in the same space to maintain a continuous visitor experience. Lastly, distinctive lighting was used to create unique atmospheres in each exhibition area.
