The courtyard of shortland building was connected to thewestern side in 1960s and was blocked by a new part ofthe building. The design is about to reconnect the courtyardto the western side by adding a public staircase anda more transparent pavilion. And presenting the culturalelements of country is to enhance the awareness of thelosing language of country.
