Time Turntable

2023

To preserve and transmit the rich historical and cultural significance of the site while strengthening the community's cultural bonds, we adopted the innovative "time turntable" concept in the planning and development of the museum, library, and the surrounding landscape. This unique approach arranged historical epochs akin to the hands of a clock, expertly guiding visitors through diverse historical eras as they progressed through the exhibits. The concept was seamlessly woven into the design's layout, with two distinct "turntables" symbolizing the transition from outdoor-focused to indoor-focused architectural spaces, representing prehistoric and recent history. The library was seamlessly integrated with the museum, ensuring that only one historical period was showcased in each area, ensuring a continuous and immersive visitor experience. Additionally, we employed distinct lighting techniques to craft distinctive atmospheres in each exhibition area.
