Watering Hole

2023

This project is about the food outlet and bar of the leisure complex of Catherine Hill Bay. The generation of the building is based on the site's history of mining. The main materials of the building are stone and timber. The combination of stone and wood textures on the facade gives the impression that the building has naturally grown from the land. Building uses the stond wall to separate pathways, and creating semi-enclosed spaces for landscape. When people enter the food outlet area, the roof openings allow maximum sunlight to enter the building, The trees and stone walls complement each other, giving the feeling of being in the land and stepping into nature.
